What can I say? Having a career as a professional dancer has meant the world to me. I’ve had an extremely long, complete and phenomenally exciting experience that includes everything up, down and sideways about it.

Sometimes we don’t know how it all happens, but we do know that it goes far beyond words to keep us brave and in love with surrendering and dedicating ourselves to each moment of this journey.

One of the most resonant mantras I believe in is, “dance is what you do, not who you are”. I truly don’t remember where I first heard that stated, but I do know how controversial it sounds.

However, keeping that distinct separation in mind ensures that we feed and value the uniqueness that our personalities bring to the art form and helps maintain a fundamental balance for our daily life and future.
