I’m huge fan of Gyrotonics and Gyrokinesis training to enhance ballet and modern technique. The fluidity of the exercises is a delicious way to expand flexibility and develop strength without bulking up. I’ve found enormous value in replicating that kind of resistance training with this Pilates Bands Set, since we don’t always have the luxury of a personal trainer and studio machine. The bungee part of the set has traveled with me around the world and it’s still the most irreplaceable part of my personal routine, as well as in private training for students and clients.
Ah, the yoga mat… the thing we don’t always take terrific care of, even though we lay on it over and over again to warm up and cool down. I highly recommend a breathable, washable yoga mat to keep bacteria at bay without sacrificing traction.
